Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Intelicare Counseling, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed at supporting the mental well-being of your clients. This includes:

• Holding a manageable caseload of clients and building rapport to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship while adhering to professional ethics.

• Conducting regular sessions to evaluate each client’s progress, stability, and readiness for discharge when necessary.

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans that are client-centered and regularly updated based on therapeutic progress.

• Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation of treatment sessions and progress notes for each client, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Carrying out comprehensive intake assessments to determine clients' needs and appropriate treatment pathways.

• Engaging in individual therapy sessions weekly with both new and existing clients to facilitate their personal growth and mental health improvement.

• Participating in supervision sessions to refine therapeutic techniques and enhance clinical skills.
\n
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals, to ensure integrated care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on a youth demographic, providing culturally competent therapy and understanding the unique challenges that young individuals face. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's Degree in mental health or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.

• An understanding of internal credentialing requirements for relevant clinical settings.

• At least one year of professional experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
