AR/AP Accounting Specialist

AR/AP Accounting Specialist | Atlanta, GA | Salary: $40,000 - $55,000This role will be responsible for managing accounts receivable collections and/or accounts payable functions in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment. The candidate MUST have prior freight forwarding industry experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $40,000 - $55,000Supportive and team-oriented work environmentPaid time off and company-recognized holidaysStable, full-time in-office positionKey ResponsibilitiesManage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and collections follow-upProcess accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely mannerReconcile customer and vendor accounts and resolve discrepanciesMonitor aging reports and assist with collection efforts to reduce outstanding balancesMaintain accurate financial records and supporting documentationCoordinate with operations and customer service teams regarding billing and payment issuesAssist with month-end closing activities and reportingEnsure compliance with company accounting procedures and policiesSupport additional accounting and administrative tasks as neededQualificationsPrior freight forwarding or logistics industry experience required2+ years of AR/AP or general accounting experience preferredExperience handling collections and/or payablesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systemsAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment
