Become a part of our caring community The Lead Receptionist is responsible for the front desk operations of a healthcare facility. This role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining patient records. The Lead Receptionist ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and supports the medical team with various administrative tasks. This position assumes ownership and leads advanced and highly specialized administrative, operational, and customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. Job Description The Lead Receptionist operates a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintains call logs. They take and distribute accurate messages, greet visitors, issue visitor passes, maintain visitor logs, and alert the appropriate party of visitor arrival or direct visitors to the correct office, department or employee. They respond to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and email address. Additional responsibilities may include miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, and receiving and sending courier packages. The Lead Receptionist acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the receptionist team, offering training and guidance as necessary, and may travel to support multiple centers. Required Qualifications At least one year of experience in leading a team/department, working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a customer service background in retail, hospitality, legal, insurance or call centers Excellent customer service and multiphone line skills Team player Ability to multitask Detailed and organized Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) Other administrative duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications Value-based care model experience Knowledge of Medical Terminology Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records) Bilingual in English and Spanish Additional Information Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB. Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $39,000 - $49,400 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
