Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial mental health evaluations, documenting client histories and psychosocial assessments from the first consultation through to treatment completion.

• Monitor and evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Develop, implement, and review personalized intervention and recovery plans, catering to individuals, couples, families, and groups with diverse needs.

• Lead interactive individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices to facilitate discussions and therapeutic exercises.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, social workers, and nurses, to formulate comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Maintain regular follow-up communication with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for clients who may be hospitalized.

• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery progress, providing support to clients as they navigate challenges.

• Engage and educate family members and caregivers on effective strategies to manage mental and behavioral health issues associated with their loved ones.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a robust understanding of therapeutic techniques.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR, to manage client information securely and efficiently.

• Solid understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethics in counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
