Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to develop tailored treatment plans that address individual needs and goals.
• Deliver hands-on orthopedic therapy techniques, including manual therapy and exercise prescription, to enhance mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Educate patients and their families about at-home exercises, self-care techniques, and lifestyle modifications to facilitate recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgery, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. You will provide care to a diverse group of individuals, ranging from athletes needing rehabilitation after sports injuries to older adults dealing with post-operative recovery or arthritis. Your approach will be empathetic and results-oriented, aiming to empower patients to take an active role in their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Current and active state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with a focus on orthopedic cases, including internships or residencies.
• Strong understanding of musculoskeletal conditions, injury mechanisms, treatment strategies, and evidence-based practice.
• Skilled in manual therapy techniques and proficient in the use of therapeutic modalities to alleviate pain and facilitate healing.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting, with demonstrated success in developing and implementing patient-centered treatment plans.
• Proficiency in using advanced therapeutic technologies, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and other modalities.
