The role involves creating and maintaining long‑term customer relationships through exceptional service and a mastery of the La‑Z‑Boy selling process. You will drive sales, promote the Design program, and provide a premium customer experience. Responsibilities Drive sales and contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services. Promote and assist the Design program, scheduling and presenting customized room designs. Consistently execute the La‑Z‑Boy selling process, including needs discovery, portfolio presentations, objection handling, closing, and follow‑up. Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs. Maintain strong knowledge of product features and benefits for both existing and new lines. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience through efficient use of the Podium system. Support design functions in the store and assist with visual appearance, floor displays, and general cleanliness. Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, keep orderly customer records, and manage daily system logs. Assist with opening and closing store procedures and coordinate delivery schedules. Collaborate with teammates to foster a culture of sales and service, including coaching new peers. Total annual earning potential after training: $45,000 – $65,000+ (inclusive of base and commission). Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous selling experience; strong ability to close a sale preferred. Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal, persuasion, and negotiation abilities. Effective time‑management and ability to handle conflicting priorities. Team‑player mindset and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. Physical Demands & Work Environment Lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and stoop.
