Work Environment\n

The work setting for this role is largely remote, allowing for flexibility in your schedule while connecting with a diverse inmate population. You will be part of a dynamic Jail Mental Health Team, which emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning. While the core hours of operation are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, you may also be required to accommodate occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend schedules to provide comprehensive mental health coverage. Some on-call availability will be necessary to manage urgent mental health situations effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of inmates, taking into account their unique personal histories and current psychological states.

• Collaborate with inmates to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific mental health needs and promote successful reintegration into society.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy, tailored to the inmate's needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote emotional regulation, personal growth, and effective coping mechanisms within the correctional setting.

• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners to ensure a holistic treatment approach to mental health issues.

• Manage crisis interventions efficiently, employing de-escalation techniques and making referrals for higher levels of care when necessary.

• Educate inmates and their families about mental health conditions and available resources, empowering them for future success.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation of treatment provided and progress made, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in multidisciplinary discussions and case conferences to promote knowledge sharing and team collaboration.

Qualifications\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
