Work Environment\n

This is a full-time remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while actively engaging with students and faculty through virtual means. The school-based mental health setting presents unique opportunities for direct impact, enabling you to collaborate closely with educators and administrative staff to identify and address the mental health needs of students in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide direct therapeutic services to students exhibiting symptoms of major mental illness and/or severe emotional disorders through individual, group, and family therapy.

• Conduct brief, evidence-based assessments and screenings to identify the mental health needs of students, followed by appropriate referrals for ongoing support as indicated.
\n
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for students, ensuring they receive comprehensive and coordinated care involving family members and relevant service providers.
\n
• Assist with crisis intervention efforts when necessary, using sound judgment and established protocols to ensure student safety and well-being.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client meetings, including assessments, treatment recommendations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, following organizational guidelines.

• Collaborate on multidisciplinary teams to establish and advance common goals, ensuring a holistic approach to student mental health care.

• Participate in professional development activities and training to enhance your skills and contributes to team knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be students from diverse backgrounds experiencing behavioral and emotional challenges. You will be an advocate for their mental health, working within the educational system to provide essential support. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure in Colorado.

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health or social services capacity, ideally within school-based or community health settings.
\n
• Strong understanding of mental health conditions prevalent in school-aged populations and familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and collaboration with school staff.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with integrated care models and utilization of evidence-based practices in treating mental health conditions.

• Previous involvement in crisis intervention or response teams will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
