Paramedic (EMT-P)

Job Description This role involves supporting plasma center operations as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). Key responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory results, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis results. Evaluate donor reactions, follow SOPs for medical emergencies, and coordinate with the Center Physician for standing orders and donor transport. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance, including donor safety and eligibility issues. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable. Manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluation with occupational health or ER, following EHS guidance. Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate-equivalent recognized nursing program and state licensure. Current EMT-Paramedic license or equivalent in the state of assignment. Current CPR and AED certification. Basic IV therapy credentials as required by the state of licensure. Completion of FDA‑approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training. At least two years of clinical or hospital experience. Location USA – MO – Saint Ann Compensation U.S. hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98.
