Job Overview Position: Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. Schedule: 25-40 hours per week, flexible evening and weekend shift team. Working days and hours: Sunday 6:45AM–4:30PM; Monday 10:45AM–9PM; Tuesday–Thursday 5:45AM–9PM; Friday 5:45AM–8PM; Saturday 6:45AM–4:30PM. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serologic protein electrophoresis (SPE). Manage donor adverse events and react appropriately in accordance with SOPs and emergency procedures. Communicate with Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical findings or technical issues concerning donor safety and eligibility. Support HepatitisB and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Handle employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health or EHS as required. Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of local pandemic threats. Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate‑level nursing program meeting state requirements. Current state licensure or certification for EMT‑Paramedic (or equivalent) in the state of assignment. Current CPR and AED certification. Compliance with state IV therapy requirements. Completion of FDA‑approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training. At least two years of clinical or hospital experience. Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage: $24.32‑$33.44, depending on qualifications, experience, and skills.
