Work Environment\n

This position offers a flexible remote work environment while being part of an engaged outpatient office team. You will have the opportunity to work from home while still maintaining consistent collaboration with fellow mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and support staff. Our normal operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs and schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments using evidence-based practices to create and implement individualized treatment plans that offer support and direction to clients.

• Employ a variety of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other methodologies suited to the specific needs of clients.

• Maintain organized and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring meticulous record-keeping that maintains patient privacy and complies with ethical standards.

• Engage regularly with a multidisciplinary treatment team to collaboratively discuss cases, share insights, and optimize therapeutic approaches, enhancing overall client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Vital Care Psychological Services, you will work closely with a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Our clients vary in age and background, and as such, your role involves employing a unique approach tailored to each individual’s experiences and needs. Your work will be pivotal in guiding them toward their therapeutic goals, all while cultivating a supportive and understanding environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.

• An active license to practice as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.
