Staff Accountant

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of one of its business entities. This role will be responsible for transactional accounting activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, reconciliations, and general accounting support. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable managing the accounting workflow in a fast-paced environment. Experience with payroll is a plus, though payroll responsibilities will not be a primary focus of the role. Responsibilities Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions accurately and timely Manage billing, invoicing, and cash application activities Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account analysis Maintain accurate financial records and support general ledger activities Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections efforts when necessary Support payroll processing and payroll-related administrative tasks as needed Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures Partner with internal departments to resolve accounting-related questions and issues Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflow efficiencies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 3+ years of accounting experience Hands-on experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, billing, and general accounting support Experience with ERP systems and intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and data reconciliation functions; QuickBooks and/or NetSuite experience preferred. Exposure to payroll processing is preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication and problem-solving skills Required Work Hours Monday to Friday, first shift Benefits Benefits package details will be provided during the interview process.
