Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, allowing for direct patient interaction and hands-on treatment. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, creating a structured yet supportive environment for both staff and patients. You will have access to advanced therapeutic equipment and treatment modalities designed to facilitate effective rehabilitation and enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to establish diagnosis and treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Implement specialized care plans through a variety of treatment techniques, ensuring each program effectively addresses the goals and limitations of the patient.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, providing focused and personalized care and guidance throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to promote patient independence and motivate continual progress.
• Closely monitor treatment effects and progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize functional outcomes.
• Document all services rendered accurately in the EMR system, specifically WebPT, to maintain comprehensive patient files.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to create a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Educate patients on their health conditions, wellness strategies, and the importance of preventative care to support long-term health improvement.

This position primarily caters to individuals with a range of orthopedic conditions seeking rehabilitation and performance enhancement. Our clients, primarily covered by private medical insurance, expect high-quality, individualized care to help them achieve their health goals. As a Physical Therapist, you will be instrumental in reducing their reliance on medications and exploring alternative non-surgical options to promote recovery.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in New York is essential for practice.
• No prior board actions or disciplinary measures recorded on your license.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and a demonstrated proficiency in developing evidence-based exercise programs.
• Proficiency in utilizing EMR software, particularly WebPT, to enhance patient care documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating an understanding of common conditions treated in this environment.
• Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and rehabilitation outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
