To get you started on the right foot, this position may include an in-person training period at our Le Sueur, MN facility./ppThis position is responsible for monitoring and controlling the raw material quartz processing facility from a central control room. This role involves ensuring efficient production, safety, and quality through the remote operation of plant systems and equipment. The Operator will monitor plant processes, respond to alarms, and coordinate with shift personnel to optimize facility output and maintain a safe operating environment./ppEssential duties and responsibilities:/pulliMonitor and control the operation of the quartz processing facility from a central control room, ensuring efficient and effective processing of raw materials./liliMonitor and achieve production targets by controlling plant systems and equipment, optimizing operational processes for quality and cost-effectiveness./liliCoordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including monitoring and controlling rail car loading and unloading./liliOperate and monitor plant equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, and other processing machinery, using control systems and interfaces./liliImplement and monitor process control systems to maintain stable and efficient operations, and respond to system alarms and anomalies./liliCoordinate with maintenance personnel remotely for repairs and maintenance, ensuring the facility is in compliance with safety standards./liliPromote a safety-first environment by adhering to all safety regulations, participating in safety training, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements./liliRespond to process upsets or emergencies, taking appropriate actions to stabilize the plant and minimize downtime./liliWork closely with quality control teams to monitor product quality through control systems, implement corrective actions, and ensure final products meet specifications./liliEnsure that all rail operations are compliant with relevant regulations and internal policies by monitoring and controlling rail car movements./liliMonitor raw material inventory levels using control systems to ensure continuous production without delays./liliCollaborate with other departments to forecast and fulfill customer demand efficiently by adjusting plant operations as needed./liliMaintain accurate records of plant operations, including production data, equipment status, and process parameters./liliProvide regular reports to the Processing Facility Manager on plant status, production, and any operational issues./li/ulpQualifications and skills:/pulli3+ years of experience in facility operations or a process control environment, ideally within the mining or materials processing industry./liliExcellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving operational efficiency and safety./liliKnowledge of safety standards, and best practices in industrial facilities./liliMechanically inclined with a strong understanding of industrial equipment and processes./liliStrong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of operations personnel./liliProficiency in using process control systems (DCS, PLC, etc.) and HMI interfaces./liliAbility to read and write in English./liliAbility to acquire and retain all necessary safety certifications./li/ulpMinimum requirements:/pulliEducation: High School Diploma or GED/liliExperience: 2+ years of experience in a control room or similar operational role in a production or manufacturing facility/liliSystems: Oracle/li/ulpPhysical requirements:/pulliWork at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings/liliLift up to 60 lbs./liliPush/pull 100 lbs./liliStand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks/liliWear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria/liliParticipate in daily stretch and flex exercises/liliWork in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions/liliWalk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift/liliBend over multiple times throughout shift/li/ulpTask based personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements:/pulliSteel toed boots/liliHearing protection/liliSafety glasses/liliCut-proof gloves/liliLatex gloves/liliFace shield/liliHigh visibility vest/liliRespirator (employees who are required to wear a respirator must maintain a clean-shaven face in the area where the respirator seals to the skin.)/li/ulpCambrias starting hourly range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00.
