Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and screenings to evaluate the mental health needs of students, tailoring treatment plans based on individual assessments.

• Provide effective short-term individual counseling sessions and implement crisis intervention strategies for students experiencing acute mental health issues.

• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops that cover topics pertinent to student development, such as stress management, coping strategies, and resilience building.

• Work in partnership with campus entities, including academic advisors and residential staff, to provide holistic support services and address the academic-related stressors faced by students.

• Participate in outreach initiatives aimed at increasing mental health awareness, encouraging proactive student participation in wellness programs and events.

• Maintain thorough and confidential records of student interactions, treatment plans, and progress, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards of practice.

The primary client focus for this role is the student body, which includes diverse populations across various academic disciplines. Many of these students grapple with stressors associated with academic performance, social relationships, and transitional life experiences typical of college. Qualifications\n

• A current, valid mental health license, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD.
