Our client is a fast-growing Series D health technology company that is reshaping how patients, providers, and health systems coordinate care. Supported by leading investors, the company is expanding rapidly, and this hire will join a six-person accounting team.
The team is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant who will be central to managing the monthly close, overseeing lease accounting under ASC 842, and conducting thorough analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts. This prominent position offers direct interaction with leadership and the chance to influence processes as the company continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of key elements of the monthly close, confirming that financial results are accurate and delivered on schedule.
- Prepare and evaluate journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
- Conduct thorough reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts to confirm accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policy.
- Maintain and update account reconciliations, pinpointing variances and leading efforts to resolve them.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports for management and investors.
- Oversee the full lease accounting process under ASC 842, including the classification, measurement, and continued monitoring of lease agreements.
- Pinpoint and execute process enhancements that strengthen the efficiency and accuracy of the close.
- Compile audit documentation for external auditors and confirm adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA licensure or progress toward licensure highly desirable.
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility (Big 4 and industry experience preferred; health technology or SaaS background is advantageous).
- Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 842 lease accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, with experience using modern ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
