- Design Tailored Therapy Plans: Assess patients' unique needs and create individualized therapy strategies to help them meet their personal functional objectives.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Employ evidence-based interventions to enhance patients' motor skills, cognitive functions, and daily living activities.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work in unison with other therapists, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide comprehensive and holistic patient care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their families on therapeutic practices to ensure continued advancement outside clinical settings.
- Monitor Progress and Adapt Treatment: Document patient developments meticulously and adapt treatment plans as necessary to keep patients progressing forward.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Continuing education and post-graduate certifications encouraged and financially supported
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is essential
