Description

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized testing and careful observation.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrated on various aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to formulate integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to continue progress beyond clinical visits.
• Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Keep precise and timely records in compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
