Under the direction of the Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN)/Director of Staff Development (DSD), the Psychiatric Technician Instructor will provide training and supervision to Psychiatric Technician Assistants and Psychiatric Technician Students in a training course designed to prepare them as Psychiatric Technicians.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to training all disciplines in Therapeutic Strategies and Interventions (TSI), conducting non-medical/surgical nursing classes, providing hospital orientation for affiliated schools and colleges, conducting CPR classes, and conducting emergency drills on the patient care units. Note: Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
