Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical function and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with the patient's rehabilitation goals.
• Administer physical therapy treatments that include, but are not limited to, manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Guide and instruct patients through therapeutic exercises tailored to their individual recovery plans, ensuring proper technique and safety.
• Continuously monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, documenting changes in condition and outcomes to adapt treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and their families on post-treatment care, exercises to perform at home, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery.
• Collaborate effectively with physical therapy assistants and interns, providing mentorship and guidance to develop their skills and expertise.
• Participate in departmental meetings to discuss patient outcomes and contribute to practice improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve range from individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries (such as joint replacements and ligament repairs) to those dealing with sports injuries and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your work will be integral to their rehabilitation journey, focusing on restoring functionality, strengthening, and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current California Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting, particularly focused on orthopedic cases.
• Strong comprehension of contemporary physical therapy methodologies and modalities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience mentoring new staff or interns in physical therapy techniques and patient management.
• Prior work in outpatient orthopedic clinics or multi-disciplinary rehabilitation teams.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation practices for physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
