Work Environment

Located in the heart of Reston, Virginia, our rehabilitation center provides a supportive environment where therapists can thrive professionally. This onsite role involves working Monday to Friday with two possible shifts: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' physical conditions, medical histories, and rehabilitation goals.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques, including exercise programs, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on patient responses and outcomes.
• Provide education and training to patients and their caregivers on therapy exercises, self-management strategies, and the usage of assistive devices.
• Communicate regularly with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care, facilitating smooth transitions among care settings.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest techniques and practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be assisting a wide array of clients, including adults and children recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. Your expertise will be crucial in helping patients regain mobility and independence. Our therapists work in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring comprehensive care that addresses not only physical aspects but emotional and social needs as well.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, allowing for clear interaction with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in electronic health records and computer-based documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a rehabilitation center or similar collaborative healthcare environment.
• Proficiency in conducting functional assessments and developing integrative treatment plans.
• Familiarity with community resources for additional patient support or referrals.

Compensation and Benefits
