Payroll Specialist

Our client in the biotechnology industry is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role will be responsible for supporting end-to-end payroll processing while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, resolving discrepancies, and partnering with HR and accounting to support payroll-related activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to contribute to a growing biotech organization.Key Responsibilities:Process multi-state payroll accurately and on scheduleMaintain payroll records and employee data in payroll systemsReview timesheets, earnings, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments for accuracyRespond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerAssist with payroll tax reporting, garnishments, benefits deductions, and compliance requirementsReconcile payroll-related accounts and support month-end close activitiesPartner with HR and accounting on new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and benefit updatesPrepare payroll reports for management and audit supportHelp ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulationsSupport process improvements and payroll system updates as needed
