Key Account Manager

This position is with our client onsite in Uniondale, NY
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with pet specialty retailers and distributors
- Expand distribution, sales volume, and brand visibility across assigned accounts
- Analyze sales performance, profitability, and market trends to identify growth opportunities
- Lead customer business reviews, presentations, and strategic account planning
- Execute pricing, promotional, and merchandising strategies
- Partner cross-functionally on forecasting, demand planning, and customer needs
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- 3–7 years of experience in sales within Pet Specialty, Food & Beverage, or adjacent CPG categories
- Experience calling on headquarters, regional offices, and/or managing distributor relationships
- Strong ability to analyze trends, data, and sales performance metrics
- Proficiency in creating compelling PowerPoint sales presentations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
- Ability to travel locally or regionally as needed, including time spent in the field
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
