Work Environment\n

This position supports a telehealth work setting, allowing you the flexibility and convenience of providing services from your home. The typical work schedule is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. Your role will involve regular video consultations and virtual meetings with clients and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, utilizing state-of-the-art telecommunication tools for effective therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Family Insight Counseling Center, your core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments for senior clients, identifying their unique emotional and psychological care needs.

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, designed to help clients navigate the emotional complexities of aging, grief, and life transitions.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including medical professionals and social workers, to craft tailored and holistic care plans for your clients.

• Advising and training staff and family members on techniques and resources that foster the emotional well-being of seniors.

• Providing specialized grief counseling to clients and their families coping with loss, ensuring sensitive and effective support during end-of-life discussions.

• Implementing cognitive stimulation programs and therapeutic activities aimed at enhancing mental acuity and overall quality of life.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on senior clients who are experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, ranging from depression and anxiety to coping with loss and significant life changes. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of age-related issues and provide evidence-based strategies to support clients in improving their emotional health. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in geriatric mental health counseling.
