The successful candidate will play a vital role in all aspects of sourcing and executing Real Estate transactions and maintaining strategic dialog with clients. The candidate will be responsible for managing and executing a wide range of complex transactions. He or she will also play a critical role in developing junior professionals.Vice Presidents within Investment Banking at TDS provide a professional level of product and coverage expertise, execution, and relationship building with clients at all levelsDepth & Scope:Develops transaction ideas and discusses appropriate context with senior coverage team membersDevelops revenue across all product areas and executes transactionsDemonstrates relevant market / industry / product knowledgeStructures/delivers high impact presentationsMaintains client relationships and keeps them informed as deals progressKeeps more senior coverage and product officers informed as deals progress/issues ariseLiaises and/or interacts with clients at all levels (CFO, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, etc.)Liaises with clients primarily at CEO and CFO levelExecutes on deals, generating or contributing to increases in revenue levelsEstablishes an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the BankMaintains confidentiality of client informationAccountable for providing expertise and support to senior coverage team members in execution of transactions and deal structure by providing expertise and knowledge of relevant markets/industries/productsDevelops recommendations/ideas for transactions and revenue generation, structures/delivers presentations, and manages deals/transactions as they progress/issues arise (escalating and keeping senior coverage officers informed as required)Liaises and maintains client relationshipsActs as an experienced specialist for an assigned business or portfolio; the VP role requires deep industry knowledgeKey Responsibilities: Utilize real estate sector expertise in developing presentations, term sheets and financial models to analyze clients’ financial situations, financing, and M&A opportunitiesManage deal execution and project management throughout the lifecycle of a transactionConstruct detailed M&A and joint venture models and provide any necessary financial and statistical analysisConduct deep industry and company-specific due diligence Oversee and/or assist in the preparation of business valuationsProvide timely support to cross-functional teams such as Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, and Corporate Risk SolutionsCreate presentation materials and actively participate in client discussionsWork independently to deliver presentations and client follow-up requests on a timely basisGuide junior bankers in the preparation of pitchbooks and live deal materials, including offering memoranda, management presentations, ad-hoc analysis, due diligence, and the building of financial modelsBuild relationships and maintain direct contact with clientsInteract with senior TD Securities team members and client management teams on a daily basis to successfully execute transactions and discuss strategic alternativesQualifications:Candidates must have a strong background in investment banking underpinned by solid quantitative and analytical skills. He or she should be able to think creatively about a range of strategic issues confronting the firm’s clients and have an exceptional grasp on accounting, valuation, finance, and business strategy.
