PT Nurse, The Institute for Cognitive and Brain Health About the Opportunity Job Summary The Institute for Cognitive and Brain Health is looking to hire apart-time, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with cardiology trainingand phlebotomy to assist with multiple funded studies across theInstitute. Some of the studies that require an RN include theeffects of lifestyle choices and health behaviors (e.g., physicalactivity, diet) and their physiological sequelae (e.g., fitness,adiposity) on brain and cognition; the relation between fitnesslevel and speech and hearing across populations; and theinteraction between stress and nutrition in pregnancy andinfancy. This individual should be licensed in the state of Massachusetts asan RN, have experience with electrocardiograms (EKGs), and becomfortable working with individuals across the lifespan, rangingfrom infants to older adults. Responsibilities include monitoringmaximal exercise testing and conducting fasting blood draws on avariety of populations. Mornings are preferred; however, theindividual should have some flexibility as needed for studies asparticipants are recruited. Additional hours may become availableas studies launch within the Institute. Minimum Qualifications Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state ofMassachusetts. Cardiology training. Experience with electrocardiograms (EKGs). Phlebotomy experience.Comfortable working with individuals across the lifespan,ranging from infants to older adults. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Monitor maximal exercise testing. Conduct fasting blood draws on a variety of populations. Assist with multiple funded studies across the Institute.
