Shift Availabilities: It will be a bi-weekly rotating shift, which includes working every other weekend and some holidays. The shifts, depending on the day, will be either 10 hours or 13.5 hours. Depending on the length of the shift, the night shift will begin between 3:00PM and 6:30PM. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- The main point of contact for field staff for any operational reason. Responsible for day-to-day schedule assignment and management; including communications with off-duty personnel to fill regular, part-time, and overtime vacancies. Completes hour-to-hour changes in staffing and vehicle assignments, recording unscheduled absences, early departures, and tardiness of field operations staff as they occur. Proper schedule documentation is essential to ensure employees are paid correctly and in a timely fashion.
- Works closely with Fleet Maintenance/IT departments to ensure units with mechanical/IT issues are reported promptly. Also to coordinate the estimated availability of units that are currently being serviced.
- Point of contact for On the Job Injury reporting. Completion of all required paperwork as well as notifying the appropriate parties. Ensuring that the employee is able to be seen at the appropriate facility. Responsible for notifying occupational health nurse and risk and safety of the event. Ensuring employee understands all the information and his/her responsibilities. Forwarding all paperwork to the appropriate individuals.
- Consistent point of contact for students and third-person riders, assuring appropriate documentation of permission to ride, liability, and waiver paperwork is collected and forwarded to appropriate parties. Ensuring these non-employee riders comply with the policies set forth in the documentation; making sure they have the proper safety equipment, deploy with the correct crew, etc.
- First point-of-contact for crews, and Medic's IT department with wireless ePCR tablets and LifeNet server issues; performs troubleshooting and problem resolutions in their absence (especially on evening shifts); makes decisions as to the appropriate course of action regarding taking tablets out of service and notifying the appropriate department personnel of the need for tablet/server repair.
- Process all changes to employee hours in the timekeeping system daily to ensure payroll is accurate and timely.
- Receives, reviews, processes and finalizes all ePRC's (approximately 400-450 reports per 24-hour period) at the end of shift for all field staff. May include returning reports back to field staff for correction or omission of critical information to include demographics, billing/insurance information, and signatures. Reviews information from CAD to verify all reports are present.
- Responsible for informational updates to various departments. Communicates with Fleet and Operations Support staff to maintain updated vehicle status. Determines severity, with assistance from other departments as needed, of vehicle and equipment maintenance issues. Reassigns vehicles as needed. Communicates with CMED updates of staff/vehicle/ computer assignments
- Daily clerical duties include, but are not limited to: Simple maintenance of office machines, requesting for service and supplies as needed Maintaining supplies of various forms used daily by field and supervisory staff. Answering telephone calls, directing the caller to the appropriate respondent or to the Operations Supervisors on duty. Collects information in regards to Commendations and Service Inquiries and formats into a summary forwarding summary to the appropriate person or department for further action.
- Responds to public, patient, LifeShare organ donation and North/South Carolina hospital inquiries for information regarding patient care, patient belongings and patient field reports. Answers questions and troubleshoots all in-office situations and problems regarding all items above
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
- Overtime may be considered an essential function of this role.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
