Office Location: Near Santa Monica, CA Compensation: $110,000 - $150,000 base salary + bonus Reports to: VP of Accounting Responsibilities: General Accounting & Close Support Handle various accounting tasks related to financial reporting and month-end processes. Assist with reconciliations and maintain accurate records across accounts. Work with others to ensure reporting is timely and aligned with expectations. Support audit and compliance efforts as needed. Operational Finance & Analysis Contribute to the accounting and tracking of revenue, expenses, and company assets. Help manage financial flows related to inventory and vendor relationships. Prepare schedules and reports to support internal and external stakeholders. Participate in periodic reviews of financial performance and metrics. Process & Controls Look for ways to improve workflows and streamline financial operations. Support efforts to strengthen internal controls and documentation. Collaborate across departments to improve financial visibility and accountability. Tax & Compliance Support Assist with tax filings and compliance efforts, including working with external advisors. Ensure company practices align with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Qualifications: Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a startup or inventory-focused environment. CPA certification is highly preferred. Strong understanding of US GAAP, inventory valuation, and internal financial controls. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational abilities. Familiarity with accounting tools, systems, and best practices.
