Residential Counselor/Recovery Coach

Location: Briarcliff Manor, NY

Our organization offers a residential treatment program specifically designed for adolescents dealing with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction.

We are dedicated to assisting adolescents and their families on their journey to complete recovery. Our approach equips each young individual with the tools needed to face life's challenges without the burden of an eating disorder. We emphasize empathy, education, and family involvement as essential components of the recovery process. Our goal is to help each adolescent cultivate healthy skills and gain a profound understanding of how to lead a life that showcases their unique identity.

We are currently looking for a Residential Counselor/Recovery Coach to become a part of our team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to advance your career in the mental health and eating disorder sectors!

Sunday to Tuesday, 9 PM to 9 AM

Hourly Rate: $17 - $22

• Actively support clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Deliver interventions aligned with each client’s treatment plan.
• Encourage clients to form healthy and appropriate relationships with peers and staff.
• Assist with food preparation and setup; model and supervise client meals and snacks.
• Participate in therapeutic groups and help develop essential skills for clinical growth.
• Conduct rounds and provide observational insights.
• Occasionally transport clients off-site for appointments and activities.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education; a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health environment is highly desirable (and may be required in certain states).
• A valid state-issued Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills; a service-oriented mindset; adaptability; and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
