Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs during initial consultations.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment and recovery plans based on individual assessments, ensuring they reflect the complexities of each client's circumstances.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating various therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices.

• Continuously monitor and document progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to best support client recovery.

• Provide ongoing support and follow-up for clients transitioning from hospital settings, staying in contact with psychiatrists and attending physicians to track health outcomes.

• Identify and address behaviors that inhibit recovery, guiding clients in developing healthier coping mechanisms.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges and fostering supportive home environments.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is essential.

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in an outpatient setting.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client documentation effectively.

• Sound knowledge of the effects of medications prescribed by healthcare professionals and the interplay with mental health treatment plans.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly and empathically to clients and the multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
