An established, private equity-backed company in Nashville is growing its accounting team and is hiring a Senior Accountant . This newly created position offers the opportunity to work across several areas of accounting, including revenue recognition, tax, financial reporting, ERP implementation, process optimization, and acquisition integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the monthly close by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Contribute to financial reporting and provide analysis to support business decisions
• Support revenue accounting and revenue cycle activities
• Coordinate tax-related processes, including payments, reconciliations, and working with outside tax advisors
• Play a key role in integrating newly acquired businesses and supporting an ERP system implementation
• Recommend and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled efficiencies
• Collaborate with finance leadership on cross-functional initiatives and special projects

Qualifications

• 4 years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting background is a plus, but not required
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience supporting tax functions, including sales and use tax, tax accruals, or compliance activities
• Revenue accounting experience is beneficial
• CPA designation or active pursuit of certification is preferred
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset
