Onboarding Specialist Full Time Professional Atlanta, GA, US 5 days ago Requisition ID: 1033 The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the full onboarding process for new hires across Telgian Engineering & Consulting, LLC. This role ensures a smooth, professional, and compliant onboarding experience for employees while partnering closely with HR, hiring managers, payroll, IT, and operations teams. The Onboarding Specialist plays a key role in creating a positive first impression and helping new employees successfully transition into the organization. Coordinate and manage all pre-employment and onboarding activities for new hires Prepare and distribute offer-related and onboarding documentation through HRIS and onboarding platforms Review and process employment documentation, including I-9s, E-Verify, tax forms, direct deposit information, and policy acknowledgements Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements Partner with hiring managers/IT to ensure timely onboarding schedules and equipment/setup needs are completed prior to employee start dates Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during the onboarding process and answer onboarding-related questions Schedule and facilitate new hire orientation sessions Maintain accurate employee records and onboarding trackers within HR systems Coordinate with payroll to ensure new hire information is entered accurately and on time Monitor onboarding metrics and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience Support audits and maintain compliance-related documentation Assist with other HR administrative functions and special projects as assigned Your Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required 2+ years of HR, onboarding, recruiting coordination, or administrative experience preferred Strong knowledge of employment eligibility verification (Form I-9), onboarding compliance, and HR best practices Experience working within HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and onboarding platforms preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Your Compensation and Benefits At Telgian, we are proud to offer a unique, professional work environment where we consider all of our associates to be part of our family.
