About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Vascular Surgery for a 13 week Locum Tenens assignment supporting both inpatient & outpatient vascular surgery services. The PA will work alongside an MD/DO and provide rounding, admissions, call coverage, first assist in the OR & assistance with clinic procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient & outpatient vascular surgery care
• Work collaboratively with an MD/DO
• Perform patient evaluations & daily rounding
• Assist with patient admissions & ongoing management
• Provide scheduled weekday & weekend call coverage
• Serve as first assist in the OR
• Assist with vascular & endovascular procedures
• Assist with clinic based procedures
• Participate in patient handoffs at the beginning of applicable shifts
• Evaluate & manage vascular surgery patients within scope of practice
• Coordinate care with surgeons, nursing staff & multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC
• Follow approved clinical protocols & privileges

• 12 hour call: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 12 hour overnight beeper call: 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 24 hour weekday call: 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• 24 hour weekend call coverage
• Approximately 6 call shifts per month
• Clinic hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 7:00 AM start shifts require handoff & rounding at the beginning of the shift
• Start Date: October 3, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Oregon PA license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• EPIC experience required
• Vascular surgery experience required
• First assist experience in General Surgery & surgical subspecialties
• Documentation of training & competency for surgical first assist privileges
• Surgical case log covering the previous 24 months required
• Documentation identifying first, second or third assist experience
• Documentation of clinical services representative of requested privileges
• Oregon licensed candidates preferred for immediate October & November coverage
• COVID 19 vaccination required per facility guidelines
