Work Environment

This position is purely onsite, allowing you to work directly within clients' homes. You will experience a one-on-one dynamic with clients, creating tailored therapy programs in a comfortable environment that is conducive to recovery and rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment that emphasizes the prevention of disability, pain relief, and the rehabilitation of muscle function, always in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Oversee physical therapy assistants in implementing treatment plans effectively, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities through the application of diagnostic and prognostic tests to determine the most effective therapeutic approaches.
• Assess clients' home environments to identify adjustments that can promote their independence and enhance their rehabilitation experience.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the application of physical agents such as traction and massage.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, making recommendations for modifications to physicians as needed.
• Actively participate in the development and review of personalized care plans, ensuring they are up-to-date and reflective of patients' progress.
• Observe, record, and report changes in clients' conditions, making suggestions for modifications to treatment plans in collaboration with relevant medical professionals.
• Prepare and maintain clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, to ensure comprehensive documentation in accordance with OASIS guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, attending case conferences to share insights and coordinate optimal treatment strategies.
• Instruct clients and their families about physical therapy devices, management plans, and rehabilitation exercises.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained and providing guidance as needed.
• Foster open communication and connection with clients, their families, and team members, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding throughout the treatment process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals who require at-home rehabilitation services due to various conditions, including post-surgical recovery, chronic pain syndromes, neurological disorders, and mobility impairments. Our clients are diverse, ranging from older adults seeking assistance with age-related conditions to younger individuals recovering from injuries. You will play a crucial role in empowering them to regain control over their lives through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Must possess a valid PT license in good standing in Florida.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with reliable automobile insurance.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience as a physical therapist, ideally in home care settings, is required.
• A proactive, positive attitude with a strong commitment to clinical excellence.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and their families.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple clients and responsibilities efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

Motion Menders Therapy offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
