Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Echo Technician specialized in Interventional Radiology for a travel assignment in Santa Fe, NM. This role involves working within a high-volume hospital setting, performing diagnostic echocardiograms on both adult and pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities of the Echo Technician - Interventional Radiology

• Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams
• Coordinate activities with interrelated departments, including exam scheduling, patient transportation, and billing information
• Assist cardiologist by preparing and measuring M-modes and exchanging pertinent diagnostic information
• Deliver, pick up, and distribute dictations in a timely manner
• Respond to patients' needs during exams, reporting changes to the physician or nurse in charge
• Maintain and order Echo supplies, ensuring rooms are clean, neat, and well-stocked
• Log patients and exams, and file patient records
• Participate in departmental and hospital-wide Performance Improvement activities
• Share responsibility for on-call coverage for emergency exams
• Maintain quality control of equipment and examinations, coordinating repairs as necessary
• Stay current on advances in Echocardiography, seeking advice and mentorship from cardiologists
• Assist with other cardiac procedures as needed

Requirements of the Echo Technician - Interventional Radiology

• A.R.D.M.S./CCI registration or eligibility, or comparable national accreditation required
• State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus a two-year allied health education program related to patient care
• Two years of active echocardiography experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a variety of disciplines
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work at a rapid pace under stressful conditions
• Manual dexterity to perform echocardiograms
