Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments, including preliminary interviews, and document the therapeutic process from the outset to completion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify specific needs and challenges.
\n
• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans targeted towards individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities as appropriate.
\n
• Consistently monitor and document client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team made up of mental health specialists, medical professionals, and social workers to provide integrated care solutions.

• Provide follow-up support for clients recently admitted to hospital settings by coordinating with attending physicians and psychiatrists.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and utilize preventative strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Support caregivers and family members in understanding and managing mental health issues, fostering a supportive environment for recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a strong clinical background.
\n
• Technical proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with preference given to familiarity with AVATAR.
\n
• Knowledge of the interplay between physical health conditions and mental health issues, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Awareness of the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with clients and team members.
\n
• An empathetic demeanor, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a commitment to client-centered care.

• Experience working in a community health setting or with underrepresented populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
