Position Summary

Permanent CVICU RN opportunity in Ocala, FL, caring for critically ill cardiovascular patients in a high-acuity acute-care environment. The RN will care for some of the hospital’s sickest patients, including those requiring ventilators and multiple medication drips. Candidates should have recent acute-care ICU experience, although 2+ years of PCU experience may also be considered . Competitive pay is available based on experience, along with a night differential and case-by-case relocation assistance.

Position Overview

• Provide high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patients receiving various IV medication drips.
• Assess patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status.
• Serve as an advocate for patients and their families.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications and treatment.
• Provide continuous, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Participate in quality improvement and safe patient-care practices.

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute-care ICU RN experience within the last 2–3 years required.
• 2+ years of PCU RN experience may be considered.
• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate/compact RN license.
• Compact license holders must obtain a Florida RN license within 60 days after relocation.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire/transfer.
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer.

Night Differential: +$4.25/hr

Candidate Fit

RN with recent acute-care ICU experience, particularly cardiovascular/critical care, or an experienced PCU RN with 2+ years of PCU experience who is comfortable caring for ventilated patients and managing multiple drips.
