Legal Operations Lead, eDiscovery

A leading food delivery app is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Project Manager to assist the team on a full-time (40 hours per week), interim/contract basis for an initial 6 month term. In this role you would support and expand eDiscovery operations. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, hands-on project management, and strong collaboration with legal, IT, security, and external vendors.

Title: eDiscovery Project Manager (Secondment)

Location: Remote (United States)

Hours: 40 Hours / Week

Duration: 6 Months

Pay Rate: $55 - $75 / hr

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Holds & Case Management

• Place and manage legal holds, ensuring accuracy in notices and execution.
• Track and update ongoing cases, working closely with outside counsel, internal counsel, and vendors.

Process Development & Documentation

• Draft legal hold policies, operational guidelines, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance eDiscovery workflows.
• Support process documentation and cleanup efforts.

Vendor & Tool Management

• Utilize Relativity and DISCO to run searches when needed .
• Support the data migration project (prior experience with Exterro is a plus for this project)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with IT, security, and legal teams to build out eDiscovery operations.
• Assist with employment investigations and litigation matters, taking ownership of assigned cases.

Project Management & Communication

• Maintain detailed case trackers and ensure day-to-day case progress.
• Draft clear, concise communications to outside counsel and internal teams.
• Utilize spreadsheets and formulas in Excel for tracking and analysis.
• Leverage tools like Slack, Google Suite, Confluence, and JIRA for collaboration.
