About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Logistics to serve as the enterprise leader in the development and execution of logistics and distribution strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost-effective movement of various goods, including inbound supplier freight, intercompany materials, and outbound finished products. This role demands a leader with a proven track record in logistics across multiple business and operating models, and the ability to manage both company-operated fleet activities and third-party transportation providers. The Vice President will also be tasked with leading the governance of transportation terms and freight responsibilities, and must have a strong background in contract negotiations, global logistics, and a deep understanding of various modes of transport. Applicants for the Vice President of Logistics position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for an advanced degree. A minimum of 10 years' experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations is required, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role within a complex industrial or manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a hunger to achieve, be adept at defining and redefining processes, and have a strong financial acumen. Experience in leading enterprise transformation, process standardization, and technology implementation is also essential. The role demands an individual with advanced analytical skills, the ability to use data and KPIs to drive improvements, and excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Professional certifications in the field of logistics are beneficial.
