Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ counseling needs, leveraging established frameworks such as the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) and ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria to determine the appropriate level of care.

• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans that address substance abuse issues, integrating educational and therapeutic strategies to promote recovery.

• Create and maintain detailed clinical documentation, including counseling sessions, assessments, and other relevant patient interactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Manage a client caseload effectively, including organizing case management processes and utilizing review systems to monitor treatment progress.

• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate targeted interventions for clients in crisis, ensuring immediate and effective responses to various challenges.

• Provide in-depth coordination of support services, maintaining open communication with referral sources, families, and any involved legal or educational entities to foster a holistic approach to each client’s care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves students and individuals facing substance use disorders, as well as co-occurring mental health challenges. You will be supporting people from diverse backgrounds, tailoring your approaches to meet the unique needs of children and adolescents, while also addressing broader behavioral health issues affecting families and communities.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field is required; an LCSW certification is mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience in co-occurring counseling, particularly in the treatment of substance use disorders.
