Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or classroom aide is a strong advantage
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred
• Familiarity with supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Effective communicator who works well as part of a team
• Ability to remain patient, flexible, and positive in a fast-paced school environment
• Capable of following individualized education programs (IEPs) and teacher directives
• Skilled in assisting with instructional, behavioral, and social activities in a classroom

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers with daily instructional activities and classroom management
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students, both in general and special education settings
• Help implement lesson plans and facilitate learning under teacher guidance
• Aid with supervision of students during activities, transitions, and lunch or recess
• Encourage student independence, self-confidence, and appropriate behavior
• Document observations and student progress as needed
• Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and maintenance
