Gas Meter Retrofit Technician - Puget Sound, Woodinville WA area

Job Details Job Location: PSE MAINTENANCE WOODINVILLE WA - WOODINVILLE, WA 98072. Salary Range: $21.65 - $26.00 hourly. Texas Meter & Device is hiring a temporary, full‑time Gas Retrofit Technician (meter technician) in the Greater Seattle/Woodinville area. Training begins at $21.65 per hour with an increase to $26 per hour after successful completion of training, which follows background checks, driving records, and drug screening. Interviews will be conducted soon. The position is expected to last approximately three months, with roughly eight hours per day. Overtime may be required and additional work is possible depending on project needs. Responsibilities Retrofit a gas module to the existing gas register on residential and commercial class gas meters. Use a work order management system to capture and enter site data. Maintain accurate records of work completed. Oversee materials, equipment, vehicle and tools, and operate company vehicle safely. Keep track of new and used inventory. Properly use a Hand‑Held Device (HHD) to collect new meter data. Manage daily client communications, data and reporting. Coordinate scheduling and meet quality and quantity requirements. Provide courteous and excellent internal and external customer service. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or necessary. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record; minimum of 3 years of driving experience. Mechanical aptitude. Minimum age of 21 years. Must have work boots and own a personal smartphone. Background check clearance including drug screening and I‑9 documentation. Ability to use a hand‑held device and other equipment required for the position. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to stand, bend or stoop for prolonged periods; work performed outdoors in inclement weather. Ability to carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner. Stable multi‑year work history. Attention to detail. Dependability and reliability. Good communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing). This job is considered safety sensitive as defined in RCW 49.44.240 and is subject to pre‑employment drug screening that includes screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites. Shift and Pay Info Training rate is $21.65 per hour. Monday–Friday, with possible Saturday work required at times and occasional overnight travel. Typical work hours are 8 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm, but may vary from 7:00am to 4:00pm with one hour lunch or 7:00am to 3:30pm with a half hour lunch, depending on project needs.
