Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, working directly with clients in their homes as part of our Home Care facility. Our environment fosters collaboration among a multidisciplinary team, including strength coaches, athletic trainers, and sports medicine physicians. Our well-equipped facility features advanced therapeutic technologies, such as force plates and motion capture systems, enabling therapists to deliver targeted, effective rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, sport-specific evaluations and biomechanical assessments to identify individual client needs.
• Design and implement tailored rehabilitation programs aimed at facilitating a safe and effective return to sport.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular re-education, and innovative methods like blood flow restriction (BFR) training.
• Collaborate closely with coaches, orthopedic specialists, and performance teams to ensure cohesive care and optimal outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress through consistent reassessment and modification of treatment plans based on evolving needs.
• Engage in client education, providing athletes and their families with valuable insights on injury prevention and optimal wellness practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client focus will span a variety of athlete demographics, from amateur to elite levels, dealing with sport-specific injuries or conditions. You will develop vital relationships while addressing their unique rehabilitation needs and performance goals, enhancing their return to athletic activities.

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Possess an active or eligible Nevada physical therapy license.
• Exhibit a strong interest or background in sports rehabilitation and therapy.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills that foster team integration.

Preferred Experience

• Certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Sports Certified Specialist (SCS), or possession of other relevant certifications will be advantageous.
• Experience in strength and conditioning practices or athletic training will enhance your position.
