Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biomechanical evaluations and specialized movement assessments to inform tailored rehabilitation plans.
• Implement manual therapy techniques and design progressive, evidence-based rehabilitation programs aimed at enhancing athletic performance.
• Utilize advanced return-to-play testing protocols and sport-specific training sessions to ensure athletes resume their activities safely and effectively.
• Collaborate closely with orthopedic physicians, athletic trainers, and fitness professionals to provide holistic, multidisciplinary care.
• Educate athletes on injury prevention strategies, effective recovery practices, and sustainable long-term mobility solutions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will allow you to work with a diverse patient population, including high school athletes, weekend sports enthusiasts, and elite professionals. Each client presents a unique set of needs and goals, enabling you to utilize and sharpen your expertise in both rehabilitation and performance enhancement. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that athletes return to their sports safely and are equipped to avoid future injuries.

Qualifications

• A valid license to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Nevada or eligibility to obtain state licensure.
• A strong commitment to sports medicine, biomechanics, and evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
• Proficiency in manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional performance training techniques.
• Exceptional communication skills paired with an athlete-first mindset facilitating meaningful patient interactions.
• Comfortable working in both rehabilitation environments and return-to-sport scenarios.

Preferred Experience

• Certification as a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) or Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
• Hands-on experience in athletic training or rehabilitation specific to collegiate or professional sports.
• Demonstrated familiarity with advanced treatment modalities, including blood flow restriction training, dry needling, or the use of sport-tech tools, such as force plates and motion sensors.
