Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and determine appropriate treatment interventions.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans centered on resilience-building and trauma recovery.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma and develop coping strategies in a collaborative environment.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure holistic care for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies and support clients in acute distress.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies, ensuring they are aware of available resources.

• Maintain secure and accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings, promoting continuous professional development and trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and therapeutic advances in the field of trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients who have experienced significant trauma, including those battling PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. Your work will be instrumental in helping these individuals achieve healing and resilience, equipping them with the tools needed to navigate their challenges and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

• Demonstrated strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a commitment to trauma-informed practices.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency in EHR systems and other relevant technologies.

• A strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with an emphasis on trauma-focused therapies.

• Hands-on experience with trauma-informed care methodologies is highly desirable.
