Work Environment\n

This remote position is designed to support the operations of the school while allowing flexibility in location. As part of our innovative School Mental Health Team, you will collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals dedicated to fostering a safe and supportive environment for all students. A typical workweek runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed to provide comprehensive coverage for mental health services and respond to urgent situations. Given the remote nature of the role, strong communication skills and proficient use of digital platforms are essential for effective collaboration.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate students’ psychological well-being, taking into account their backgrounds, presenting issues, and any potential risk factors.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with students, targeting specific mental health concerns and promoting their integration into the school community.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy to address diverse mental health challenges.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to help students enhance personal growth, emotional regulation, and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work in conjunction with other mental health professionals—such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners—to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and making appropriate referrals for additional support when necessary.

• Educate students and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources, fostering an understanding to empower recovery and resilience.

• Maintain clear and concise documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance skills and promote effective teamwork.

• Stay updated with current laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines pertaining to mental health practice within educational settings.

This role primarily focuses on serving a diverse student population within the school, addressing a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your ability to connect with students from different backgrounds will be essential in providing culturally competent care. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
