Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in need of rehabilitation services, creating individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs and recovery goals.
• Administer therapeutic interventions, employing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to decrease pain and improve mobility.
• Document patient progress meticulously, monitoring responses to treatments, and maintaining accurate records which are vital for ongoing care adjustments.
• Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to educate on the rehabilitation process, effectively explaining treatment plans and expected outcomes.
• Set adaptive therapeutic goals to encourage patient engagement and motivation, revisiting these goals as patients progress or face challenges.
• Stay abreast of emerging rehabilitation techniques by participating in workshops and professional organizations, ensuring continuous professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse clientele, including children recovering from sports injuries, adults recovering from surgeries, and elderly patients needing rehabilitation due to various health issues. You will be responsible for adapting your treatment to address the unique needs of each patient, ensuring culturally competent and patient-centered care. Our mission focuses on catering to all ages and diagnoses, ensuring a comprehensive approach to physical therapy that promotes successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid license to practice physical therapy in the State of New Jersey.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to foster patient rapport and ensure seamless information exchange within the healthcare team.
• Proficient computer and word processing skills for documentation and communication purposes.
• Demonstrable adaptability and willingness to embrace varying patient needs and recovery goals.

Preferred Experience

• While previous work experience is not mandatory, a minimum of 2 years in a clinical setting is desired.
• Experience with assistive devices and adaptive equipment also preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
