Reporting directly to the Controller, this role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Company's financial records, supporting timely financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and providing analytical insights that drive sound business decisions. We encourage creative problem-solving and provide employees with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while advancing their careers.Key Responsibilities:Financial Accounting & ReportingAssist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules on a by entity and consolidated reporting basis.Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accurate recording of financial transactions.Prepare and record journal entries to QuickBooks, ensure accurate supporting documents accompany the JEs including accrual support and assumptions.Prepare Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations.Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts for trends, one off adjusting entries and significant fluctuations between months.Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.Utilize AI-driven financial reporting and analytics tools to automate routine accounting tasks, improve reporting efficiency, enhance data integrity, and generate actionable insights for management decision-making.Month-End & Year-End CloseAssist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reporting requirements and supporting schedules to include calculation of Adjusted EBITDA on a MTD/QTD/YTD/TTM basis.Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial statement reporting.Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.Compliance & Internal ControlsSupport external audits and facilitate requests from auditors.Assist with tax compliance, annual filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.Maintain and update internal controls, accounting procedures, and SOPs.Review and compare industry accounting practices as they relate to company reporting routines.Cash Management & Operational AccountingPerform bank reconciliations and cash flow statements on a monthly basis.Lead Financial interactions with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Operations team.Coordinate Inventory cost accounting routines with Operations in recording activity on the balance sheet and cost of goods sold utilizing internal warehouse and third party logistics reporting.Process Improvement & SystemsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflow efficiencies.Support ERP system enhancements, implementations, and upgrades.Participate in special projects, including business growth initiatives, acquisitions, and process optimization efforts.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.Advanced knowledge/experience with Intuit QuickBooks Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite (IES) preferred.Experience with ERP upgrades / conversions a plus.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, highly interactive environment.Work Environment:Hybrid work model combining remote work with regular in-office collaboration.Primary office location in the Atlanta metropolitan area.Minimal travel may be required for team meetings, training, or business support activities.Collaborative, fast-paced culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Employment Requirements:Must be able to pass a background check, consistent with applicable law.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Equal Opportunity EmployerGalt Pharmaceuticals is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
