Job Description - Nursing Administrative Supervisor (2601570) Job Number: 2601570 Job Field: Nursing Primary Location: US-NY-Southampton Department/Hiring Area: Nursing Administration – Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Position Summary Under the general direction of the Vice President for Patient Services, assumes daily responsibility for management of Nursing Services. Responsibilities Manages available resources to meet the goals of the organization and department. Maintains an awareness of interdepartmental relationships and facilitates communication to optimize patient care. Promotes cooperation, a positive attitude and creates a safe environment for both patients and staff. Responsible for knowing and adhering to established Hospital policies and procedures, including all aspects of safety. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of Nurse Administrators so classified. Required Experience and Qualifications Current license to practice in New York State. BSN required; Master’s degree in nursing or related field highly desirable. Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association required. Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in Nursing. Preferred Experience and Qualifications Current ACLS and PALS provider certification from the American Heart Association preferred. Travel Requirements May be required to travel to other locations to support operational needs. Pay Range The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established based on relevant experience. The above salary range represents SBSH’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
