Our client is a growing, fashion-forward women's apparel brand focused on creating timeless, versatile, and modest essentials at an accessible price point. They operate across e-commerce and brick-and-mortar retail, with a fast-paced startup mindset and a strong emphasis on brand, customer experience, and operational excellence. Their team is highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and hands-on, and value ownership, accountability, and thoughtful growth as they continue to scale.

Reposnsibilities :

HR Director will oversee all people operations and help build scalable systems that support a growing retail and e-commerce team.
Oversee all HR operations including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding
Partner closely with leadership on workforce planning, compensation strategy, and organizational growth
Develop, implement, and enforce company policies, employee handbooks, and HR procedures
Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and escalations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (with a strong understanding of retail labor regulations)
Oversee payroll coordination, timekeeping processes, and benefits administration
Build and maintain performance review systems and career growth frameworks
Support managers with coaching, documentation, and leadership development
Maintain HR records, reporting, and internal documentation
Act as a trusted resource for employees and leadership alike

Qualifications:

HR experience, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or a fast-growing company
Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
Experience building HR systems and processes from the ground up
Excellent people skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and empathetically
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently while partnering closely with leadership
Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and time-tracking software (experience with retail teams is a plus)
